Our History: Over 75 Years of Water Conditioning in New Jersey
Portasoft has a long and rich history of serving the water treatment needs of New Jersey residents and businesses:
- Founded in 1945 in Westfield, NJ: The Portasoft Company was established by Omer Miller and John Nooney in Westfield, New Jersey, laying the foundation for decades of water quality expertise.
- 1975: Kinney’s Coil Cleaning Service: Rob Kinney, from nearby Bergen County, NJ, began “Kinney’s Coil Cleaning Service,” showcasing early dedication to related home services.
- 1977: Portasoft of Morris County Established in Dover, NJ:
- Rob Kinney relocated to Dover, NJ, and built upon the Portasoft legacy, creating Portasoft of Morris County as an authorized Portasoft Dealership, focusing on local water treatment solutions.
- Portasoft of Morris County experienced significant growth, relocating to a larger facility on Route 46 in Ledgewood, NJ, where we successfully served the community for 11 years, building a reputation for reliable water conditioning services.
- 1994: Expansion to Kenvil, NJ & EcoWater Partnership:
- Responding to our growing customer base of over 10,000 satisfied customers, Portasoft expanded to our current, larger facility at 578 Route 46 East in Kenvil, NJ, allowing us to better serve all of New Jersey.
- We proudly partnered with EcoWater, the world’s leading manufacturer of residential water treatment equipment, becoming an authorized dealer and enhancing our ability to offer top-quality solutions.
